About Me

Welcome! I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University. My research and teaching focus on international political economy, historical political economy, political behavior, public opinion, and political methodology, with a substantive emphasis on migration and trade. 

In my job market paper titled "A Threat to the Task List? Occupational Tasks and Individual Attitudes toward Immigration," I develop and test a task-based theory of immigration attitudes. Specifically, I argue that labor market competition emerges once foreign workers enter one’s sector of employment. Where a sector has no foreign workers, occupational task similarity has no effect on opposition to them. Where a sector is exposed to foreign workers, the positive effect of occupational task similarity on opposition strengthens as exposure increases.

Besides, I develop collaborative projects on topics at the intersection of international relations, comparative politics, and behavioral research. I use a variety of quantitative methods, including survey experiments and quasi-experiments.
